My dear Saki,
You will be glad to learn that last Sunday I went to a picnic. The spot was Joshtopura Pahar at East Boalkhali. My parents, my younger sister Tanu and I myself made the team. We hired an auto-rickshaw to reach the spot. The menu was simple – Biriyani, fish fry, chilly chicken, sweets and ice-cream. I and my younger sister Tanu helped mother in cooking. During cooking we enjoyed Rabindrasangeet from our CD player. After the cooking was over, Tanu recited from Tagore and Nazrul. Then we had our delicious lunch. After lunch we strolled about on the bank of the river Karnaphuli. Gentle breeze was playing through the boughs and scattered stray leaves on the gliding stream below. We took some snapshots. We also enjoyed boating on the Karnaphuli. It was really a great experience.

9.Experience of a train journey.

Dear Arpa,
I have just received your letter. In your letter you have wanted to know about my experience of a train journey. Now I am giving you a short description about it.
Last autumn vacation I made the journey from Chattogram to Dhaka. I started my journey at 8 in the morning. After buying a second class ticket from the counter I got on the train. In the right time the train started running. The compartment was full to its capacity. When the train left the station I looked outside of the train from the window and observed the beauty of nature. The train was running through green paddy fields. There were jute and sugarcane plants here and there. They were tossing their heads in the breeze. The compartment presented a good scene. Some of the hawkers came up to us with their goods for sale. At 4 pm we reached our destination. Really, it was one of the most memorable days in my life.

Celebration of Mothers Language Day is done on 21st February of every year. The main motto of celebrating this day is to upgrade the awareness of mother language and cultural activity all across the world irrespective of the difference in the mother tongue.
It was decided by and announced by UNESCO on November 17, 1999. Since this day is being celebrated globally every year.
The date represents the death of four young students, who were killed in a procession in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, because of Bengali and Urdu language retaliation.
